Dr David Scullion

David qualified in Medicine at St Mary’s Hospital London in 1985. Following a series of general medical posts in London and the South he passed the final MRCP in 1988 following which he took advantage of the enormous technological developments in the field of imaging and began his radiology training at St Mary’s Hospital in 1991.

Following his FRCR in 1994, he undertook a period of radiology fellowship training in Vancouver, specialising in abdominal imaging and related intervention. On his return in 1997 he was appointed Consultant Radiologist in Harrogate.

He is a general radiologist with an interest in abdominal imaging. He also undertakes diagnostic vascular imaging and over the years has acquired extensive experience in head and neck imaging. David is experienced in the treatment of symptomatic uterine fibroids by uterine artery embolisation therapy.

His imaging commitments have been curtailed somewhat since being appointed Medical Director of the Trust in 2012. This is a significant managerial component of his current working week.
